I’m a former current affairs, features and lifestyle writer and digital content creator with Loop News where I’ve covered breaking stories, lifestyle features and even travelled to China along the way.
From February-June 2023, and again in October 2023, I was visited China courtesy the China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC), where we toured various cities from Beijing to Shanghai, Changsha, Qinghai Province. In October 2023, I returned to cover the Belt and Road Forum, to which Trinidad and Tobago is a signatory. Needless to say, 2023 was a busy year!
I also participated in the Oxford Climate Journalism Network, a programme at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford, where I placed a special focus on environmental issues.
In terms of education, I obtained a postgraduate diploma in Journalism at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, specialising in radio, TV, print and online in 2010, and completed a B.A. in English Literature at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine in 2007.
